COMP Cams Super Dirt Series Opens Season With Beebe & Riverside Double Shot

Beebe, Arkansas (04/05/11) – After seeing the opener at I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas) rained out for the second straight season, the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series will open their 2011 season this weekend, April 8th-9th as they invade Beebe Speedway in Beebe, Arkansas and Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas.

As the tour prepares to take a second shot at starting the 2011 campaign, a strong cast of series’ regulars are planning to be on hand including 2010 Champion, Bill Frye, along with Kyle Beard, Jon Mitchell, Jon Kirby, Dewaine Hottinger, Terry Henson, Eddie Provence, Wesley Crutchfield, Brandon Smith, Curtis Cook, Shane Harris, Andy Millican, Johnny Virden, and many more.

Going head to head with the series regulars in one or both of the weekend’s events will be regional drivers including Billy Moyer Jr., Jamie Dacus, Ross Camponovo, Shane Stephens, Larry Potter, Clay Fisher, Mark Stephens, Thomas Dacus, Morgan Bagley, Gary Christian, and many more.

The first part of the weekend doubleheader will be held on Friday, April 8th at Beebe Speedway in Beebe, Arkansas with a 30 lap, $2,000 to win/$300 to start event. The event will mark the first of three events for Beebe Speedway on the 2011 COMP Super Dirt Series tour. Gates open at 5:00pm with hot laps at 7:00pm and racing action at 8:00pm. Also in action will be Open Wheel Modifieds, E-Mods, Hobby Stocks, Factory Stocks, and Mini Stocks. For more information on the event, please visit www.BeebeSpeedway.com .

On Saturday, April 9th the tour will roll into the legendary Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas for the Bartlett Hardwood Floor Service Spring Fling 40. The 40 lap event boasts a $2,000 to win/$400 to start purse. This event will mark the first of two COMP Cams MSRA dates at the ¼ mile, gumbo facility for 2011. Gates open at 4:00pm with the driver’s meeting at 6:00. Hot laps are slated for 6:30 with racing action at 7:30. Joining the COMP MSRA Super Late Models on the card will be the Street Stock division, 600cc Mini Sprints, and the Open Wheel Modified division.
