The 3rd Annual Classic on Tap at Schrader’s K-C Raceway
The Classic features O-Reilly All-Star Late Models/Midwest All-Star Sprints
$50,000 purse for Prestigious event

CHILLICOTHE, OHIO-The Third Annual Classic at Jeff and Vicki Schrader’s K-C Raceway is fast approaching on Saturday, April 30 when the O-Reilly All-Star Late Models and Midwest All-Star Sprints join forces for the prestigious event. Dan Reno Hobby Stocks will also be on the race card.
Many of the nation’s finest stars will join the base of the O-Reilly All-Star Late Models in what is fast becoming one of the region’s big-name events. Fans will get a big bang for the buck as the ‘original outlaws” the All-Star Circuit of Champions Midwest contingent will also be on hand.
Downsized to a one-day event this year, “The Classic” by Dakota’s Restaurants hopes to be a prelude to the climax of the dirt track racing world—The Dirt Track World Championship on October 13, 14, 15 also at K-C.
On Oct. 3, 2009 Conley, Georgia's Shane Clanton, an Outlaw veteran, rode into Jeff and Vicki Schrader's K-C Raceway and stole the inaugural show along with the winner's share of the $171,000 purse in the $20,000 to win O'Reilly All-Star Circuit of Champions Late Model crowning event. But Clanton's job description required a torrid late-race battle with Salt Rock, WV driver Eddie Carrier, Jr.--a battle that energized the crowd in the spirit of a successful inaugural run of the Dirt Track World Cup Classic. Kevin Morehouse claimed the $3,000 modified portion of the program and Delmas Conley won the Late Model Non-qualifier of $3,000 to win in the Bob Lemaster Classic.
"The Classic" weekend at K-C Raceway in 2010 was rained out as torrential rains hit the speedway to wash out the second day of the two-day show. Eddie Carrier, Jr. won the preliminary event –the Ralph Seymour Memorial Classic 47 on Friday, April 30.
General Admission is $20 for the Classic April 30 evening with Kids 6-12 $10, and Pit pass $30. Standard admission of $12 will be charged for Saturday, April 23, the season opener.
The K-C Raceway opener has twice been postponed by rain, but K-C hopes to celebrate its initial 2011 run with Hall of Fame Night, honoring past champions and track racing legends.
As announced earlier this month K-C Raceway will be requiring Raceivers in every division for the 2011 racing season which begins April 23 with the Advanced Services AMRA Road Warrior Challenge, AMRA Late Models, and Dan Reno Hobby Stocks.
Drivers are asked to fill out registration forms and AMRA forms prior to the first race. AMRA dues are $75 now or drivers can race once with a temporary $15 AMRA license in the Late Model and Modified divisions only. Sprint cars will run under the Goodyear tire rule. AMRA Modifieds must run Hoosier Tires and Late Models are under the open tire rule.
