Is this pull bar spring good in the slick?

I just bought one to put on my afco one way torque link. I was curious as to how much preload to start with. I was told to put about 5/8" in it. When I did that it seems to be close to coil bind just sitting there. Any suggestions where to start? Thanks!

5/8" is a decent starting point. I'm at about 3/4" with mine. It is close to coil bind but doesn't completely bind up solid. I had a 1050 last year, and I like this spring better than that, but haven't been on real slick with it, although I hope to try it at some point.

I have a afco dual stage pullbar and a eibach 600-1500 progresive and get 2-3 inches of travel is this to much? Would the 600-2000 be better?

I was told to get right around 2" of travel with mine.

The guys at afco told me a 1/8 inch of preload maybe up to 3/16.

I run one in my 09 perice car but i do not have any preload at all and it seems to help my car in the slick, but it can be a little much when it is tacky.

I ran my last weekend with about 3/4" of preload. The car had decent bite in the heat race, but when it slicked off in the feature it lacked some instant bite.

i have a 3 way afco pull bar and run 1 bushing with 1/4" pre load and get 1-3/4 travel...seems like more than that the car really struggles in the slick
