Currently on my camaro i have my LR shock behind the rearend and 3" below it. what would moving it to infront of the housing do?

so im guessing you mean it makes little or no difference?

yes little to no diff. BUT it will be harder to change the shock.

What type of rear suspension is it, If it is a leaf spring car then it could add some bite during throttle application if it is a stiff enough valving. It would resist the initial rotation of the rear end housing and apply the pressure downward.
