pulled out the block that came with the car and started checking it over for the first time. When i got the car I just stored it into the corner of the garage as i didnt plan on using it right away. Got it out today to starting going through for a rebuild and found this. yay! Probably will end up in the scrap pile.

Looks like it's too close to the bottom to sleeve. That'll ruin your day for sure!

When I got the block/engine the previous owner already had the bottom end out of it but the heads where on it. Now I know why. There was no water in it. I didnt plan on running it so I really didnt care about the condition and didnt look at it too much. I was more concerned with the car itself. It does suck though. As for the pistons, I'll take a pic of them this evening and post so we all can have a good laugh. I still made out on the deal as I traded a 4cyl ministock, a spare block and some parts for a complete roller imca and all the engine parts. Car ran really well with our homebuilt engine. Just getting ready to build a back up engine and came across this. No worries though as 350 blocks are easy enough to come by on craigslist.
