5th Annual Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com is just two months away!

Sarver, PA (April 23, 2010) While the 2011 Fab Four Racing season at Lernerville Speedway sputters to a start, the biggest late model race of the season is already just two short months away as the 5th Annual Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com is scheduled for Thursday-Friday-Saturday, June 23-24-25 at the Action Track.

2010 was the official debut of the new three-day format of the newest Crown Jewel of Late Model racing as Shane Clanton took home the $30,000 payday. Previous winners of the prestigious event are Scott Blooomquist (winner of the Inaugural event in 2007), Brian Birkhofer (2008) and Jimmy Mars (2009).

Without a shadow of a doubt, the hungriest driver on the track will be Darrell Lanigan! Lanigan has led almost as many laps as the rest of the drivers combined over the past three seasons but has thus far come up just short of Firecracker glory!

2010 Firecracker weekend Preliminary A-Main feature winners Josh Richards and Tim McCreadie are also favorites to win the $30,000 Firecracker 100 A-Main, as both always run well at the Action Track, but have also come up agonizingly short in the Firecracker 100 A-Main.

2011 World of Outlaws Late Model Series Rookie of the Year contender Ron Davies is certainly no stranger to the Action Track, as he was the 1990 Lernerville Speedway Track Champion! Winning at one of his home tracks would be an excellent way to stake his claim to the 2011 Rookie of the Year!

Another new twist to the 2010 Firecracker 100 weekend was the debut of Ms. Firecracker Pageant, crowning Laiken Anderson as the new Lernerville Speedway Trophy Girl. Laiken, like outgoing Trophy Girl Mandy Golec last year, will be a judge to crown her replacement. Josh Richards and Austin Hubbard were also judges for the pageant last year.

Ms. Firecracker Pageant Applications can be found on the Firecracker 100 page at www.Lernerville.com and will be accepted until June 1. A maximum of 10 contestants will be selected for the pageant, all of which will receive free admission for the entire Firecracker weekend and pageant attire from GottaRace.com. The newly crowned 2011 Ms. Firecracker will then serve as the Lernerville Speedway Trophy Girl for the next year.

Tickets are on sale now by calling the speedway office at (724) 353-1511or by logging on to Lernerville.com and clicking the “Buy Tickets” icon. Firecracker tickets make an excellent gift for Easter or Mother’s Day!
