I was up here a few years ago looking for information. WHat I am trying to do is use the 153 cubic inch crankshaft and put it in the GM 2.5 block. (the block I have is a 91)
I did pick up a adapter to convert the one piece oil seal to a 2 piece. I guess my questions are 1) Has anybody already done this and if so do you have any advice? 2) Will the flywheel from the 153 fit inside the 2.5 bellhousing? Did you see any clearance issues inside the block? Did you use the 5.7 rod for the 153? Or possibly find 6 inch rods for a V8 Chevy that would fit the rod journal and then have them side cut to fit. I would like to turn the engine about 7,000 rpm.

Any help and or direction would be greatly appreciated.

Also I am looking for an engine builder that was located in the North East part on the country that built nothing but inline engines. Anybody got a clue?

Thanks
Chuck

Don't use the 153 crank. Use the 140 hp mercruser boat engine crank. I don't want to post other secrets in the forum but feel free to pm me.
