COMP Cams Super Dirt Series Triple Header This Weekend

Beebe, Arkansas (05/03/11) – After enduring more than their fair share of rain over the past several weeks the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series finally faces a good forecast as they prepare for a triple header weekend, which will see the series in action in Oklahoma and Arkansas.

With two events already in the books for the CCSDS in 2011, history has been made as two first time winners found their way into victory lane with Allen Murray and Austin Rettig etching their names into the history books.

Heading into this weekend's events Rettig leads the points over Gary Christian, Jon Mitchell, Johnny Virden, Dewaine Hottinger, Kyle Beard, Brandon Smith, Billy Moyer Jr., Clay Fisher, and Allen Murray.

The Kuntz & Co. Rookie of the Year battle is a dead heat with three drivers tied for the lead including Curtis Cook, Ian Samuel, and Shane Harris, while Keith Lawson is just two points removed from making it a four way tie.

Drivers looking to make up ground in the points after a rough opening weekend include Bill Frye, who is the defending COMP Cams Super Dirt Series champion, as well as Jon Kirby, Jeff Sloan, Terry Henson, and Wesley Crutchfield, while several invaders including Wendell Wallace, Justin Asplin, and Jack Sullivan will look to upset the tour regulars.
