Rodney Wing Joins MSR Mafia; Launches New Website
Whynot, MS (05/05/11) – Rodney Wing from Whynot, Mississippi, who pilots the #10 GRE Inc/Lawson Construction/Rocket/Kuntz & Co. Super Late Model is the latest addition to the MSR Mafia and has launched a brand new website at www.RodneyWing.com .
Rodney, who is known as the "lugnut", is 31 years old and has been racing for over 15 years. He has over 100 feature wins to his credit during the course of his career including Super Late Model, Open Wheel Modified, Crate Late Model, and Street Stock wins. Wing is the only two time champion of the annual Open Wheel Modified Winternationals at East Bay Raceway Park (Gibsonton, Florida) as he claimed wins in the event in 2009-2010. He currently pilots the #10 GRE, Inc/Lawson Construction/Rocket/Kuntz & Co. Super Late Model, and already has one Super Late Model, feature win on the 2011 season, which came at Jackson Motor Speedway (Byram, Mississippi) on March 26th in the facilities' season opener.
Wing's racing schedule is limited by his main profession, which is the owner and promoter at Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Mississippi), which is regarded as one of the top tracks in the nation. Wing bought and reopened the track, which had been defunct for several years, in 2006 and has since turned into a showplace that hosts some of the region's biggest events including October's annual Fall Classic.
