Eric Jacobsen scores big with first-ever Late Model win during STARS VRS stop at Tazewell
TAZEWELL, TN (May 7, 2011)—Eric Jacobsen of Watsonville, CA led all 37 laps in the rain-shortened STARS Volunteer Racing Series-sanctioned event at Tazewell Speedway in Tazewell, TN to claim his first-career Super Late Model victory at the high-banked 1/3 mile oval on Saturday Night May 7, 2011.
The win was worth $3,000 to the California driver who now leads the STARS Volunteer Racing Series point standings after the Tazewell, TN event.
The May 14 event at North GA Speedway has been cancelled due to track being closed for a few weeks but will return to action with a $3,000 to win event in a few weeks at Mike Kittrell’s Wartburg Speedway in Wartburg, TN on Saturday Night May 28th.
