Austin Hubbard Set for World of Outlaws Home Coming

Seaford, Delaware (05/10/11) – It's not very often that Austin Hubbard gets to compete in his home state, but this Thursday, May 12th the World of Outlaws Super Late Model tour will bring him to Delaware International Speedway (Delmar, Delaware) for the Fulton Bank 50.

Last weekend the 2010 World of Outlaws Super Late Model Rookie of the Year entered a pair of events with the tour in Georgia. It was back to the grind on Saturday night with the World of Outlaws tour at Swainsboro Raceway (Swainsboro, Georgia) in an event that drew a field of thirty-three Super Late Models for the $10,000 to win event. On the heels of a second place finish in his heat race, Austin started 8th in the 50 lap feature. Early in the event he was battling for the fourth position, when he looped his mount and had to go to the tail of the field. Over the remainder of the event he would mount a great charge from the back of the field to a 10th place finish.

Austin made the first trip of his career to Needmore Speedway on Sunday night for another $10,000 to win, WoO Super Late Model event. Twenty-four cars entered the event on a track, where passing would become very difficult. Hubbard would start 18th in the main event, and despite rubbered-up conditions, he would advance to an 11th place finish at the checkered flag. Austin ended the weekend third in the latest WoO standings, just 48 points removed from the lead, and weekend results are available at www.WoOLMS.com.

A pair of WoO Late Model events are slated for this coming weekend, and Austin's much anticipated return to Delaware will be held on Thursday, May 12th at Delaware International Speedway (Delmar, Delaware) the $10,000 to win, Fulton Bank 50. Early in the afternoon, he will also have a sponsor appreciation appearance at Trinity Transport (Seaford, Delaware) from 11am to 1pm. Austin also has brand new shirts, which he can be viewed on his website and purchased at this weekend's events. For more information, please visit www.DelawareInternationalSpeedway.com.

Friday will be a travel day for the team as they travel to Winchester Speedway (Winchester, Virginia) for Saturday night's $10,000 to win, Gunter's Honey 50, World of Outlaws-sanctioned event. For more information on the race, please visit www.WinchesterVaSpeedway.com
