FAYETTEVILLE, NC – The National Dirt Racing Association (NDRA) is gearing up for one of the biggest shows of 2011 as the Heintz Performance Road Show sets to tackle ‘The Dirt Track’ at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Friday night May 27th.
Along with the World of Outlaw Sprint Cars the NDRA Late Models will be the featured event during the Circle K Showdown.
“It’s not every day we get to race in front of that many people,” said NDRA’s Larry Lee. “The Dirt Track is the premier racing facility in the country for what we do and we are honored to be part of the Circle CK Showdown. It is a real treat for our racers to get to showcase what they do on the center stage.”
The $2,000 to win event will be the first ‘Road Show’ of the season after postponement of the scheduled May 21st event at I-20 Speedway.
“It has been a tough start to the season for a lot of the local tracks,” said Lee. “The economy is really playing havoc on the short tracks of the Southeast, so to be able to come to a track like Charlotte Motor Speedway and put on an event is even more special.”
Only 40 cars will be able to participate so race teams need to get their applications mailed in as soon as possible. Forms are available on http://www.charlottemotorspeedway.com/documents/_11_ndra_oea.pdf
