Kennesaw, Ga. -- May 11, 2011 -- KRC Power Steering has developed an all new bellhousing mounted alternator bracket drive system. Two kits are available, one for KRC power steering pumps and another for dry-sump pumps. Each kits includes a billet aluminum 93MM Denso alternator bracket that will work with both SBC and LS based engines, such as the CT525, a HTD pulley for the appropriate pump with rock guards, a HTD alternator pulley and appropriate hardware. The KRC power steering pump kit includes two belts. The aluminum bracket features countersunk hardware to allow for more belt clearance, as well as a third support that bolts to the cylinder head. The SBC support hole is slotted to allow for changes in deck heights.

This system is ideal for dirt racers who want to keep their battery voltage consistent, while keeping the weight further back in the chassis. It also keeps the alternator out of the dirt, which is a concern on front mounted system. It will also work on any other car that runs the power steering or dry-sump pump off the bellhousing.
