Dillan White Claims Pair of Top Three Finishes
Crofton, Kentucky (05/12/11) - Dillan White was able to get his season pointed in the right direction last weekend by piloting his #54 DW Motorsports/Mastersbilt/Jay (not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)ens Racing Engine Super Late Model by scoring back-to-back third place finishes against a stout field of competitors.
With over 30 Super Late Models on hand, Dillan entered a Weekly Racing Series Event on Friday night, May 6th at Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Illinois). He would start the night by qualifying eighth fastest, and then would go on to win his heat race to start fourth in the main event. During the course of the event, he would battle his way to a third place finish behind race winner, Jason Feger, and Ryan Unzicker.
Dillan traveled to Brownstown Speedway (Brownstown, Indiana) on Saturday night, May 7th for the Lee Fleetwood Memorial, which posted a $2,500 to win purse for the event, which drew 33 Super Late Models. After winning his heat race in convincing fashion after starting in the fourth slot, Dillan earned the pole for the main event. White would lead the feature for the first 18 laps before Don O'Neal slipped by in lapped traffic. White would run second from the remainder of the event until the white flag lap when Kent Robinson moved in to challenge him for the position. The pair crossed the finish line side-by-side and scorers gave the position to Robinson, so White was credited with a third place finish. The plans for the team for the upcoming weekend, May 13th-14th, are extremely tentative, but currently include a pair of Weekly Racing Series Events at Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Illinois) and Fairbury American Legion Speedway (Fairbury, Illinois).
