PRP postpones Big Red Book Stars and Stripes 35 to June 4th

PORTSMOUTH, OH-Due to flood waters rising again as a result of rains nearly every day this week, Portsmouth Raceway Park officials have been forced to postpone the Big Red Book Stars and Stripes 35 scheduled for May 29th and push back the special event race as well as opening night yet another week to Saturday, June 4th.
In only a short time the Big Red Book Stars and Stripes 35 has established itself as one of the top Late Model shows at PRP each season. The race will once again pay $3,000 to win for Late Models on June 4th and feature Modifieds, Limited Late Models, and Bombers all racing for $1,000 to win each. Making the event now a special event for all four classes is sure to produce one of the highest overall car counts of the season. Former PRP Late Model track champion Jackie Boggs took home the $3,000 top prize in last years Big Red Book Stars and Stripes 35.
Adult general admission to the Big Red Book Stars and Stripes 35 is only $12 with pit passes $22. All veterans who show proper ID will be admitted into the races FREE. Gates will open at 4:00 pm with hot laps starting the nights activities at 6:45 pm. For more information please visit www.portsraceway.com.
