Southern All Stars $5,000 To Win Memorial Madness 50 - Saturday, May 28th at Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, Mississippi

Meridian, MS, (5/20/11) Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS will host the Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series on Memorial Day Weekend for a $5,000 to win, $300 to start Super Late Model main event on Saturday May 28th, 2011.
It will mark the series first trip to the Rodney Wing promoted facility since 1985 and will boast a total purse of $20,000 and is expected to draw cars and fans from several states around for the fifty-lap affair that will pit local, regional and nationally recognized stars together on the 1/3 mile Mississippi clay oval.
Drivers expected to appear include series contenders, William Thomas of Phenix City, AL, Billy Ogle Jr. of Knoxville, TN, Tommy Kerr of Maryville, TN, David Payne of Murphy, NC, Todd Morrow of East Ridge, TN, Skip Arp of Georgetown, TN, Riley Hickman of Cleveland, TN, Tony Knowles of Tyrone, GA, Brian Reece of Sharpsburg, GA. They will battle it out with a host of local, regional and national stars.
The under card will feature UMP Open Wheel Modifieds, Street Stocks and Mini Stock divisions battling for bragging rights and a chance to strut their talents before the anticipated capacity crowd.
Pit gates will open at 3:00pm CST with grandstands opening at 5:00pm and the drivers’ meeting at 6:30pm with hot laps to follow.
Adult general admission will be $20 with pit admission set at $30. The track is located in Meridian, Mississippi at 4773 JW Reynolds Rd (intersection of JW Reynolds Rd and Old Highway 19 Southeast).
