Southern All Stars $5,000 To Win Memorial At The Mag 50 - Sunday, May 29th at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi

Columbus, MS, (5/20/11) Magnolia Motor Speedway near Columbus, MS will host the Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series on Memorial Day Weekend for a $5,000 to win, $300 to start Super Late Model main event on Sunday May 29th, 2011.
It will mark the series first trip to the Johnny Stokes promoted facility since 2009 and will boast a total purse of $20,000 and is expected to draw cars and fans from several states around for the fifty-lap affair that will pit local, regional and nationally recognized stars together on the 1/3 mile Mississippi clay oval.
Drivers expected to appear include series contenders, William Thomas of Phenix City, AL, Billy Ogle Jr. of Knoxville, TN, Tommy Kerr of Maryville, TN, David Payne of Murphy, NC, Todd Morrow of East Ridge, TN, Skip Arp of Georgetown, TN, Riley Hickman of Cleveland, TN, Tony Knowles of Tyrone, GA, and Brian Reece of Sharpsburg, GA.
They will battle local favorites like Chase Washington, Jamie Tollison, Charlie Henderson, Steve Russell, Johnny Stokes, Rick and Brian Rickman, Wade Byers, Bubba Franks and many others.
The under card will feature Nesmith Crate Late Model, Street Stock and Mini Stock divisions battling for bragging rights and a chance to out perform the competition before the anticipated capacity crowd.
Pit gates will open at 3:00pm CST with grandstands opening at 5:00pm and the drivers’ meeting at 6:30pm with hot laps to follow.
Adult general admission will be $20 with pit admission set at $30. The track is located near the intersection of U.S. Highways 82 and 45. (Take the Macon/ Meridian exit off Highway 82) near Columbus, MS.
