PRO Dirt Car Series Sanctions Governors Cup This Saturday
Columbus, Mississippi (06/01/11) – The P.R.O. Dirt Car Series Super Late Model tour will be back in action this Saturday, June 4th at Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi) with the 8th Annual Coca Cola Governor's Cup.
The P.R.O. Dirt Car Series will host its third event of the 2011 season this Saturday as its drivers look to tame the "Black Ice" at Magnolia Motor Speedway in the $5,000 to win, 8th Annual Coca Cola Governor's Cup. Tour drivers expected this weekend include Kyle Beard, Dean Carpenter, Brian Rickman, Rick Rickman, Jay Burchfield, Eric Cooley, Jason Milam, Johnny Stokes, Mark Dodson, Ray Mauldin, Chase Washington, and more.
The touring drivers will face a strong regional contingent, which will likely include Rodney Wing, Dane Dacus, David Breazeale, Klint Byars, Chad Thrash, William Thomas, Leon Henderson, Neil Baggett, Brooks Strength, Justin McRee, and more.

1-$5,000, 2- $2,500, 3- $1,200 4- $1,100, 5- $1,000, 6- $900 7- $800, 8- $700, 9- $600, 10- $500, 11- $450, 12- $400, 13-$375,14- $350, 15- $325, 16-24 $300
Also in action will be the NeSmith Weekly Racing Series Crate Late Models, Street Stocks, and Mini Stocks, who will all be battling for additional money. NeSmith Late Models will compete for at least $700 to Win $40 to Start, Street Stocks for at least $400 to Win $40 to Start, and Mini Stocks for at least $200 to Win $40 to Start.
An Open Practice Session will be held on Friday, June 3rd from 7pm - 10pm. Pit admission is $15 and grandstand admission is free.
On Saturday, June 4th the pit gate opens at 3pm with the grandstand gates opening at 5pm. The driver’s meeting is slated for 6:30pm with action at 7:00pm. Grandstand admission is $20.00 and kids 10 and under are free. Pit admission is $35.00 for adults with children (6-10 years of age) $25, and 5 & under free.
Trackside parking is $10.00 in any unreserved spot.
