UFo King of the Bullring at Tyler County June 4 $4,000 to win, $400 to start!
“King of the Bullring” at Tyler County Speedway Kicks Off Trio of June UFo Events!
(Mars, PA) – The UFo Race Championship will be in action 3 times during the month of June. The “King of the Bullring” at Tyler County Speedway, the rescheduled “PENNational” at Pittsburgh’s PA Motor Speedway and the “Chuck Gear Trophy” at the new Elkins Raceway will offer over $53,000 in prize money to UFo Super Late Model pilots. With 3 events in the books for 2011, high car counts and great racing action have set the pace for a strong season for the tour.
Tyler County Speedway has increased the payoff for the UFo “King of the Bullring” on Saturday, June 4. This Area-51 lap feature will pay $4,000 to the winner and will now pay $400 to start. The 2011 UFo season opening “Topless 51” at Tyler County provided amazing racing action with a strong field of 40 Super Late Models. After 51 laps, Jared Hawkins of Fairmont, WV roared from 13th on the grid to take the win over his brother Jacob who started 17th. 12th starting Robbie Scott, 9th starting Paul Wilmoth Jr. and 21st starting Mike Benedum followed. The top 10 finishers advances 74 positions at the “Topless 51.”
The FASTRAK Pro-Late, TSMA E-modified, TSMA Hot Mod, Mod-Lite, Eco-Flyer and children’s Mini-Wedge divisions will also be in competition at the UFo “King of the Bullring.” Pit gates will open at 3:00, grandstands 4:30, Mini-Wedge Racing at 5:15, warm-ups at 6:30 and racing at 7:00 PM. General admission will be $18, with a $2 discount to the grandstands for fans arriving between 4:30 and 5:30 PM. Children 10 and under are free to the grandstands. All pit tickets are $33.

UFo Race Championship events have NO car entry fee and NO driver membership fees.
The UFo Super Late Models will make their 1st 2011 appearance at Pittsburgh’s PA Motor Speedway on Saturday , June 11 for the “PENNational”. The UFo Super Late Models will race in twin 28-lap features for $4,000 total to win and $350 total for 24th. Non-qualifiers will be paid $150. The twin feature format always provides spectacular racing on the wide ½ mile and distributes the winnings more evenly among race teams. John Flinner of Zelienople PA and Mike Johnson of Imperial, PA spilt the wins in the 2010 version.
The UFo “PENNational” will also be Colussy Chevrolet Night, where fans can see the newest Chevrolet models form the Bridgeville dealer. The FASTRAK Pro-Lates will pay $550, E-mods $450 and Cadets $350. The Hobby & Young Guns will also be on the schedule. Due to a previously scheduled UEMS race that series will not be part of June 11. The status of ULMS at the event will be determined in the upcoming week.

UFo will return to the new Elkins Raceway on Friday, June 17 for the “Chuck Gear Championship.” The 41-lap UFo Super Late Model feature will pay $3,000 to the winner and $300 to start plus $150 to non-qualifiers. The 1st spectacular fireworks display in the region will also take place at intermission.
Elkins Raceway was the site of 1 UFo landing in 2009, which generated one of the best races in the history of the tour. After 9 amazing lead changes, Gary Dalton of Morgantown WV was the winner of the UFo “Armstrong Classic” at Elkins over Matt Lux of Franklin, PA and Billy Holbert of Fairmont, WV.
The FASTRAK Pro-Lates, AMRA E-mods, Street Stocks, Hornets and junior-age Mini-Wedges will also be in competition at the UFo “Chuck Gear Trophy.” Gates will open at 5:00 PM with warm-ups at 7:30 and racing at 8:00 PM

Keith Barbara of South Park, PA and Jacob Hawkins of Fairmont, WV are tied for 3rd followed by Clate Copeman of Greensburg, PA in 5th. Bob Gordon of Keyser, WV and Matt Lux of Franklin, PA are tied for 6th with Jared Miley of South Park, PA, Danny Mitchell of Clarksburg, WV and definding UFo champion Chad McClellan of Stoystown, PA rounding out the top 10.
The UFo Race Championship is an event marketing alliance among independent supertracks in the PA-WV-MD region. Participating speedways presents their own championship Super Late Model events under the UFo banner throughout the season using common tech and procedure rules with a year-end, group funded, point bonus for the top finishing drivers on the tour. Eligible tracks are within the 3 hour travel distance of the central point of Washington, PA.
