Feature Event Races Wiped out by Mother Nature on Saturday 6/4/2011
..Some really good racing here Saturday night in the heat race action before Mother Nature decided to end things with some heavy down pours around 10:15pm. It was our second rain delay on the night and around 10:30pm the Feature races were canceled and rescheduled for another night .
..The Late Models started Saturday night off with our 2010 Track Champion Cody Parker of Zanesville setting the fast time in qualifying at 16.379 around the 3/8 mile , semi-banked clay oval. This would set up a great race with Parker getting to set pole position for the first heat race. Once the green flag dropped Parker took the early command with the dirt track Hall of Famer Donnie Moran close behind. On lap three of the event Donnie Moran looked to the low side of Parker coming out of turn two to take the lead . Parker didn’t give up as he ran side by side with Moran for a few laps before Moran finally got by him to lead the last two laps and win heat race number one . Winning heat race number two was young Devin Moran of Dresden holding off a hard charge by Doug Dodd. Winning heat race number three was The West Virginia driver Lance Elson . Todd Brennan of Zanesville won the Consy Event. Feature Event will be ran on Saturday June 11th.
..In the Modifieds , former Dirt Track World Champion Bart Hartman set fast time at 18.196 and once again blistered his heat race . Second was Larry Moran and third was Aaron Scott of Newark. Second Heat Race was won by Bobby Kitchens over Anthony Kinkade and Jess Hartman . Feature Event was rescheduled for Saturday June 11th.
..In the Pure Stock Division , it was Invitational night paying $800 to the winner . Rusty Redman in his cool #44 turned quick time on the night and was on the pole for Heat Race #1 . Redman took quick command of Heat race #1 and lead all the way from green to checkered . Second was Glenn Underwood and third was second Generation driver Brandon Gardner . Jesse wisecarver won heat race #2 and Kyle (not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)inson held off a charge from Tim Penley to win Heat Race #3. In the Consy Event , Rob Foraker of Newark passed Tyler Bryan on the last lap to collect a consy win . Feature was rained out and rescheduled for this Saturday night June 11th.
..In the 4-Cylinder division, Heat Race winners were John Schooler edging out Tyler Frankenberry in heat race #1, Jeremy Krouskoupf wins heat #2 over Donnie Garvin and Clint Carsey, and Rich Mcmullens who picked up the win in Heat race #3 because bad luck struck the early leader Kyle Moyer of the race getting a flat tire with just over a lap to go. Moyer would still limp that car around to get second over Brad Richards . Chris Siefert won the Consy over Jason Parker and the Feature was rained out and rescheduled for this Saturday night June 11th .
..Shelby Watson won her third Straight Feature in a row in the Mini-Wedge class for the kids . Blaize Watson finished second, and young gun Chase Osborne in the yellow #75 picking up a third .
..Coming next week 6/11/2011 will be the Mchugh Modified Special paying $1500 to the winner . We will be racing all classes and also the make up Features from last Saturday night for the Pure Stocks and the Outlaw 4-Cylinders. Hot Laps will begin at 5:45pm
