The stars of the Carolina Clash will roll into Fayetteville Motor Speedway this Saturday, June 11th for the second time in 2011. The June 11th race will pay a sweet $4,000 to win along with $2,000 in contingency awards and prizes to be distributed throughout the field.

With his win Saturday night at 311, the 2010 Carolina Clash Points Champion Dennis Franklin took over the Carolina Clash championship points lead by 41 points over Luke Roffers. Kenny Compton Jr. finished the race in the seventh position and moved into third place in points. Mike Gault dropped to fourth in points with his 10th place finish but is just 3 points behind Compton Jr. The 2009 Carolina Clash Points Champion, Jeff Smith still holds down fifth place in points. Just 9 points separate third from fifth in points and with this weekend's race at Fayetteville Motor Speedway, the points could change again between those three drivers.

Chad Paxton still leads the Klotz Rookie of the Year Standings by a wide margin over second place Mike Huey. Travis Yow sits just 6 points behind Huey in the Klotz ROY Standings. Huey and Yow have been battling back and forth all season long for second place in the ROY Standings.

The first trip to Fayetteville Motor Speedway in 2011 was for the Ed Gibbons Memorial and fans witnessed an impressive showing from Luke Roffers as he won in convincing fashion against 31 of the best super late models in the southeast. He went on to dedicate the win to his father who was celebrating his birthday.

The first four races of 2010 at Fayetteville saw four different winners. The first race at Fayetteville which was held in early April saw Dean Bowen win his second race of the year in the Ed Gibbons Memorial. The Carolina Clash came back to Fayetteville on June 5th with Jordan Bland coming out on top for the $4,000 victory. The third appearance for the Carolina Clash was held on August 14th and Ricky Weeks took the win that evening. The fourth appearance for the Carolina Clash was on October 9th when Dustin Mitchell won his first career Carolina Clash race at his home track.

The fifth and final race at Fayetteville last year saw Dean Bowen taking the win in route to his second place finish in Carolina Clash points and winning the Rookie of the Year honors.

Be there as the action is heating up and the best drivers in the southeast tackle the three-eighths mile oval for a $4,000 to win race with $2,000 in Contingency awards and prizes to be presented to the drivers Saturday, June 11th at Fayetteville Motor Speedway.
