Car is junk on a rough track and with all the rain this year, the track has been tore up every night. I dont see this week being any different. My base set-up is
springs
550lf 600rf
175lr 200rr

Bilstein shocks
5050lf 5030rf
2080 lr 4040rr

I have tried a 5555 rf and a 4040 lr to possibly help but had no luck.
Car wants to dance all over the place and very unpredictable.

I'm willing to try about anything at this point

Thanks!!!!!

I would try swapping the left side springs to the right side and put the 5555 on rf and the 5050 on rr,to see if that helps. You could also take out some bar angle, might hurt drive but it should help calm it down. Good luck.

I'm not sure that I would go changing to much other than shocks and add a little toe out I have a couple guy's running 3/8 toe out. it's just my oppinion but they both say it help give them more control in the rough.

Give jay at BSB a call, His shocks are #1 in the rough. And they got a hot slick track setup too.

I'm not sure i know exactly whats wrong w/ the car. But i would try a panhard bar with the mount closer to the RR on the axle tube.

Does the car get up on the bars or does it stay flat? is it pushing or just hitting ruts and bouncing out of the groove?

Car gets up on the bars pretty easily but I dont have alot of angle in the left rear trailing arm. When the car hits the ruts the front wants to wash-up the track. So yes..it is a little tight. With only 54% rear and -10lb left rear bite without driver, it amazes me that it is. Yes, I have 10lb more RR bite than Left rear.

thanks!!!!

try raising RR bar couple holes when hammered down.

Is this metric or chevelle?

more spring in the RF, less in the RR. more RR lower bar angle. Anything to keep the RR from catching a rut, and if it does mroe bar angle will make it steer and turn the back end instead of dragging the front up the track.

More rebound in the shocks all around can help too.

I would swap your rearsprings & drop l/f to a 500... What is your caster & camber set at??

Chevelle stub

lf caster +2
camber +1-1/2

rf caster +4
camber -3

Track was alot smoother this week. A few holes, which of course I found. RF bottoms out pretty bad.

thanks!!!!

get that RR bar up 10-15degrees should make a big difference.

Also the two links i worked on had stiffer front springs. is the car fast in the slick? if so i wouldnt change springs. if its lacking drive in slick might try a stiffer RF. Either way an easy adjustment is move that RR bar and maybe move the panhard bar directly up in the car

Ok I would go with 600lf spring & 700rf spring & put the 200 on LR & the 175 on RR & bump your rf caster up two degrees whitch would b 6 degrees......
