This Friday June 17th Paducah International Raceway will be hosting the 1st annual Family Fun Fest. There will be games and giveaways for the kids plus plenty of side by side racing action for the adults on the ultra high banked 3/8 mile speed oval.

The UMP Late Models, UMP Modifieds, UMP Pro Late Models, UMP Street Stocks, UMP 4 Cylinder Warriors and the high School Warriors will all be in competition.

Dylan Thompson, Tim Brown, and Kevin Cole are all in a close battle for the point lead in the UMP Late Model Division. This is of course of special significance since the highest man in our points has a provisional for the upcoming Chris Smith Memorial UMP Summernationals race that will be paying a track record $12,000 to win.

Justin Story, Justin Houston, and Steve Ladd are also in a very heated battle for the UMP Modified Point lead. Story in only his 4th year of competition has really turned up the heat this year with top finishes on all the nights he has raced at PIR this season. Houston has picked up 2 feature victories and Steve Ladd is the model of consistency will 4 top10 outings.

Tait Davenport, Cary King, and Jeff Patterson are locked into a very close battle for the Pro Late Model Point lead. King lost a motor last week hurting his effort somewhat. Davenport won last weeks feature and Patterson has had several very good finishes.

In the UMP Street Stock division on 12 points separates the top 4 drivers. Right now Tony Cruse sits atop the standings after scoring another feature victory this past Friday. However Mr consistent Steve Hobbs is only 2 points behind in 2nd. Just 11 points behind the leader if Fred Perry Jr. Mr Perry also is ranked in the top 5 in UMP National Stock Car points. A mere one point behind Perry is the veteran Mike Watson. Watson has picked up 1 feature this season and is also one of our most consistent runners.

Young Hunter Lyles leads the UMP 4 Cylinder Warrior points by just 7 points over defending track champion Kyle Clark. Knocking at the door in third is Rookie Brandon Snyder who is just 12 points out of the lead.

Blake Martin has dominated the High School Warrior class this season however young Tya Cunningham (the only girl in this class) is quickly improving and should be in the winners circle soon.

Don't forget the UMP Summernationals is Friday July 1st This is the 1st Annual Chris Smith Memorial race and will be payint $12,000 to win. This is the highest paying race on the entire Summernationals Tour and will be bringing some of the best dirvers in the Midwest to Paducah. Make your plans now to be in attendance.
