SRRS 10th Annual June Jam at Bluegrass Speedway is Rained Out

Bardstown, KY-June 18, 2011- Mother Nature is definitely not a race fan so far in 2011 as rain showers late on Friday evening and heavy rains on Saturday morning and a forecast for more rain forecasted throughout the day has forced Bluegrass Speedway track promoters David and Anita to cancel the 10th Annual June Jam that would have featured the Southern Regional Racing Series making their first-ever appearance at the ½ mile high-banked Nelson County clay oval.

The event will go down as a rainout and will not be rescheduled. This is the third time that the June Jam event has fell victim to Mother Nature, as the race was also rained out back in 2004 and 2005. This is the sixth rainout that Bluegrass Speedway has had so far in the 2011 race season.

The next event on the Bluegrass Speedway docket is set for Saturday June 25 and will be the 8th Annual Topless Terror Night, featuring the 44 Auto Mart Super Late Models and Country 100.9 MIKE FM UMP Modifieds going topless, racing with the roofs removed from the race cars that evening.
