American Modified Series Invades Moler Raceway Park on July 1 for Midwest Modified Mania

Glasgow, KY-June 26, 2011- The American Modified Series returns to action by kicking off the weekend of America’s birthday with the baddest racers in America without front fenders invading Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, OH on Friday July 1 for the Midwest Modified Mania event that will pay $1,500 to the winner.

On Friday July 1 at Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, OH, the American Modified Series will present a full program of practice, A-B group time trials, qualifying heats, B-Mains, and the 30 lap, $1,500 to win Midwest Modified Mania A-Main event. Other divisions in competition at Moler Raceway Park on July 1 will be the track’s Sunesis Construction Super Late Models, Big Red Book Street Stocks, and Holman Motors Chevettes.

Activities for the July 1 race date at Moler Raceway Park will see the pit area open at 4:30 p.m., with the general admission area also open at 4:30 p.m. The driver’s meeting will be at 6:30 p.m., with practice set for 7:00 p.m., followed by time trials at 7:45, with green flag racing immediately following time trials. Ticket prices for the July 1 Moler Raceway Park event will see general admission ticket prices be $15, with young adults ages 7 to 15 costing $5, and age 6 and under free, while a pit pass will be $30.

The A-Main purse for the July 1 Moler Raceway Park Midwest Modified Mania event is as follows: 1st- $1,500, 2nd- $750, 3rd- $600, 4th- $550, 5th- $500, 6th- $450, 7th- $400, 8th- $350, 9th- $325, 10th- $300, 11th- $275, 12th- $250, 13th- $230, 14th- $220, 15th through 22nd- $200 to start.

Moler Raceway Park is a ¼ mile semi-banked clay oval promoted by Kevin and Kim Moler. Moler Raceway Park is located at 2059 Harker Waits Road just outside of Williamsburg, OH. From I-275 East, take exit 63B and merge onto OH-32E toward Bativia, traveling 14.2 miles before turning left onto Dela Palma Road, which turns into Greenbush West/County Road 55 before taking a slight right onto Harker Waits Road/Township Hwy 125. The American Modified Series last competed on June 25 at Florence Speedway in Union, KY and Matt Hamilton would win the Bandit Race Cars 30 event on the tour that features some of America’s toughest racers without front fenders. Joey Kramer of Hanover, IN is the current series points leader, holding a 60 marker advantage over defending series champion John Demoss of Bloomington, IN. The remainder of the top five in tour points are Bryan Barber of Greensburg, KY, Michael England of Glasgow, KY, and Kelly Warren of Columbia, KY.
