Payoff Increase Plus Bonus $ for UFo “Connor Bobik 100” at Dog Hollow
(Mars, PA) The UFo Race Championship will soar into the Dog Hollow Speedway on Sunday, July 17 for the “Connor Bobik 100.” The Super Late Models will not only compete for $4,000 on Sunday, but $2,500 to win on Friday, July 15 with $1,700 total bonus being offered to the two highest combined finishers for the weekend. Additionally, promoter Jim Michny has increased the start payoff for the UFo portion of the event.
The UFo “Connor Bobik 100” is a tribute to the son of track photographer Derek Bobik. Connor lost his fight with cancer earlier this year and this event will celebrate his life. A Chinese auction for the Make-a-Wish Foundation will be held as part of the events on Sunday, July 17 at Dog Hollow.
The UFo “Connor Bobik 100” is a full, high-power event. UFo Super Late Models be competing in a $4,000 to win, 45-lap feature event. Due to the strong race team support of UFo events in 2011, the start money for the event has been increased to $400. Non-qualifiers will receive $150.
Joining the UFo Super Late Models on July 17 will be the 1st-ever appearance of the Outlaw 410 Sprints at Dog Hollow. The winged monsters will be racing for $2,500 to win. The FASTRAK Pro-Late Models will compete in a $1,000 to win championship race. 100 total feature laps will be run between the 3 divisions.
Both Super Late Model and FASTRK Pro-Late competitors will be able to earn bonus payoffs if they also compete at Dog Hollow in the unsanctioned Mid-Summer Championships on Friday, July 17. The Super Late Models will pay $2,500 to win and the FASTRAK Pro-Lates will pay $700 to win that night. Bonus money will be paid to the 2 highest combined finishers between July 15 and 17 for each division. Super Late Model bonus will be $1,200 for 1st and $500 for 2nd. The FASTRAK Pro-Late bonus will be $700 for 1st and $400 for 2nd.
The payoff for the UFo Super Late Models for the “Connor Bobik 100” 45 lap feature at Dog Hollow will be: 1st-$4,000 2nd-$1,800 3rd-$1,200 4th-$1,000 5th-$800 6th-$700 7th-$600 8th-$550 9th-$525 10th-$500 11th-$475 12th-$450 13th-$440 14th-$425 15th-$410 16th-$400 17th-$400 18th-$400 19th-$400 20th-$400 21st-$400 22nd-$400 23rd-$400 24th-$400. $150 paid to all cars that DNQ that make 1 lap on the track under their own power. UFo Race Championship events have NO car entry fee and NO driver membership fees. $1,200 1st place bonus and $500 2nd place bonus to the 2 highest combined Super Late Model finishers at Dog Hollow on July 15 and 17.
The UFo Race Championship is an event marketing alliance among independent supertracks in the PA-WV-MD region. Participating speedways presents their own championship Super Late Model events under the UFo banner throughout the season using common tech and procedure rules with a year-end, group funded, point bonus for the top finishing drivers on the tour. Eligible tracks are within the 3 hour travel distance of the central point of Washington, PA.
