Kyle Beard Takes CCSDS Point's Lead into Action this Weekend

Trumann, AR (06/28/11) – After a slow start to last weekend, Kyle Beard piloted his #86 Victory Circle M1 Chassis By Moyer/Samuels Performance Racing Engine Super Late Model to a second place finish on Saturday night to end the weekend with the point's lead with the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS).

After a week break from action, Kyle returned to the race track with the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) as the tour invaded USA Speedway (Sterlington, Louisiana) for a $2,000 to win, 35 lap event.
Twenty-four cars entered the event, and on a track that lended itself to passing Beard would only pass one car in heat race action, which left him starting 14th in the main event. For the feature another narrow track would greet the competitors, and Kyle would only manage a disappointing 15th place finish.

Kyle concluded the back end of the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series weekend doubleheader in Louisiana on Saturday night at Ark-La-Tex Speedway (Vivian, Louisiana). Twenty-eight Super Late Models entered the $2,000 to win event, and Kyle would win his heat race to earn the fifth starting spot for the main event.

In the feature, on a racy track, he would race his way to a second place finish behind race winner, Ray Moore. Via his performance Beard now leads the CCSDS points by 26 markers over Jon Mitchell. Full weekend results and the latest points are available at www.COMPDirt.com.

This weekend, July 1st-3rd, the team will go into battle in a trio of events, which will be co-sanctioned by the CCSDS and MARS Super Late Model tours. The festivities get underway with a doubleheader at West Plains Motor Speedway (West Plains, Missouri), which will see a Friday night program highlighted by a $2,500 to win/$350 to start event before concluding with a $3,000 to win/$400 to start event on Saturday night. On Sunday evening the action will shift to Monett Speedway (Monett, Missouri) for another $3,000 to win/$400 to start event.
