I know mine is a little heavier in the front since Im not allowed any weights in the car. And it handles just fine. I only know mine is an '82 chassis (the early heavy fox chassis) & it weighs 2350 with me in it. I played with springs & air pressures to get it how I like it. PM me if you want more info.

like dirtman29 my mustang is about 2400lb with my 230lb in it and about 53% or so on the front. good all around balance for different track conditions. my 4cyl mod is about 2160lb with me in it and 58% rear. lightning fast on wet or tacky tracks but suffers some on dry tracks. if your rules allow changes to get about 50/50% then it should be good to go on most track conditions making minor changes with air or wheel spacing.

found the old scale numbers on the mustang from 3 or 4 years ago. i was wrong on the weight as it was only 2266lb.
lf-625lb
rf-586lb
lr-648lb
rr-407lb

this was for 1/5mi and a 1/4mi tracks.
i can't find the numbers for the mod but it was about 750-775lb or so on the left rear.

240 pounds of bite is a crap load for a 2300!!! Are you sure that's right?

yep, handled great most of the time on different track conditions. i run the same size tires on all 4 corners. only change offsets or pressures. if the track is real tacky i might stick a spring rubber in the left front. the main track i ran on may start out snot wet and end up dry slick at the end.

Is this a stock chassis or pro-4? I'm curious as to how it turns. Was there any rear steer in it?

Mine is an all OEM stock chassis, all 4 same size tires on steel OEM wheels. Spring rates, the right struts/shocks, & tire psi plays a huge factor in the handling.

stock chassis, 8in rear. upper mounts twice as tall as stock 7.5. some tweeking of the lower mounts compared to a stock 7.5. one of the reasons i prefer the 8in to the 7.5.
8in wheels, 2 or 3 off, hoosier dirt bozz 235-60/13 soft. the car has been racing for about 14 years and i'm the 3rd owner. aluminum body, full size 88 t-bird nose from performance so it's a wide car. looks like a street stock type car.
