Richmond Raceway Returns to Action this Saturday, July 9 with Butterball™ Tune-Up!

RICHMOND, KY (July 5, 2011)-After a few weeks off, Richmond Raceway track promoters Joey and Tiffany Tackett are ready to get back in action this Saturday night, July 9 with the Butterball™ Tune-Up.

Race fans; don’t miss your opportunity to earn FREE Grandstand passes to next week’s 24th Annual Paul Butterball™ Wooldridge Memorial. Random trivia questions regarding the Paul Butterball™ Wooldridge Memorial will be announced throughout the night. Be sure to freshen up on your history for your chance to win!

For Saturday, July 9 the pit area opens at 5:00 p.m. followed by the grandstand area at 6:00 p.m. A mandatory driver’s meeting will take place at 6:15 p.m. with hot laps set to get underway at 6:45 p.m. Racing begins at approximately 7:30 p.m.

Ticket prices in the grandstand area are $12 for adults, $3 for kids ages 6-12, and kids ages 5 and under are admitted FREE. Pit passes are $25 for adults, $5 for kids ages 6-12 and kids ages 5 and under are also admitted FREE to the pit area.

Richmond Raceway last raced on June 11 where feature event winners that night included Ray Cook of Brasstown, NC in the USDCS Coyote 100.7 FM Super Late Models, Victor Lee of Danville, KY in the Open Wheel Modifieds, John Cole of Berea, KY in the Sportsman, Glen Hounshell, Jr. of Berea, KY in the Road Hogs, and Daniel Jackson in the Four Cylinders.

Current Track Championship point leaders heading into the July 9 event are Aaron Hatton of Mount Sterling, KY in the Coyote 100.7 FM Super Late Models, Russ Gabbert of Berea, KY in the Open Wheel Modifieds, John Cole of Berea, KY in the Sportsman, Glen Hounshell, Sr. of Berea, KY in the Road Hogs, and Nathaniel Harrison in the Four Cylinders.
