Is there a wet sump oiling system out there that is just as good as a dry sump system?? What are the benefits to running dry sump over wet sump engines if there is any at all?? Thank You!!!!

Dry sump is way better if the rules and your budget allow. Wet sump the oil runs away from the pick up and can cause a loss in oil pressure and also the crank will spin in the oil and cause oil wrap on the crank hurting horse power. This does not happen in a dry sump system as the oil is kept in a seperate tank. John 1*

If you must use a wet sump. Canton will make you one with a full side kickout. It is special order per application as a maximum effort pan. You will have to hand fit the scraper assy. and you will have to run a reverse mount starter. Very pricey! Its the best if you are stuck with that rule. If you do run it though you can run a vacuum pump on the motor and have most all the HP benifits of a dry sump. (watch that pin oiling) Go dry sump if you can its easier in soo many ways!!!
