Tuscumbia, AL – July 9, 2011 – North Alabama Speedway promoter, Jeff Greer has announced that the next special event for his 3/8 mile dirt oval located near Tuscumbia, Alabama will be the 1st annual “Shoals Shocker 50” for Super Late Models scheduled for Friday night, July 29th at 8:00pm.

The fifty-lap main event boasts a total purse of $20,000 plus with a top prize of $5000 going to the Champion of the popular Super Late Model division. The “Shoals Shocker 50” also pays $400 to start the main event.

The race so named after its geographic location in the Shoals area of Alabama near Florence, Muscle Shoals and Tuscumbia is the richest one day purse scheduled at any North Alabama area track during the Summer of 2011.

Joining the Super Late Models on the action-packed card will be the Late Model Stocks, Open Wheel Modified, Mini Stock, and Modified Street divisions.
Adult grandstand admission is $20 with senior citizens (62 years & older) $15, while kids 12 years of age and under are free. Pit admission is $30 with kids (7-12 years of age) $10, and ages 6 and under free. Pit gates open at 4:00pm and grandstand gates open at 5:00pm. The driver's meeting is scheduled for 7:00pm with hot laps at 7:30pm and racing action to follow.
