Looking for shims for a chevy distributor. When installing the distributor, I noticed that the rim doesn't sit down far enough on the top of the block before bottoming out in the hole. What have you guys done in this situation?

I looked on O'Reilly's Auto Parts website and found this: http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/detail/MRG0/2822.oap?keyword=distributor&pt=02782&ppt=C0334

However, I wasn't sure if anyone had any other ideas or part #s for shims or thicker gaskets that work. I'm in a bind and need the part(s) ASAP so a local part would be great. Thanks!

The shim kit is for the distributor shaft to housing fit, not the block mount of the housing. You will either need a thick or stacked gasket which can allow movement OR to buy a distributor that has a sliding collar that you can set the depth with.
