Packed house saw Johnny Chastain take the $1200 Super late Model win friday nite at Tri County Racetrack. Jamie Oliver was fast and leading but broke.

Limited division might be the best in the south right now. 20 cars with Danny Ledford taking the win. Shannon Bearden was going for the lead on the outside when they made contact and Bearden hit the wall. Charlie parker led the first 2 laps then pulled in. great race.

Fireworks show was tremendous. Track was good with two grooves. fun friday nite at the races.

Good night of racing! Congratulations to Johnny on the win!

I hated to see Bearden get the short end of the situation again. He was for sure the fastest car in the limited class and made a nice clean move to the outside but got cutoff and pushed into the outside wall coming out of turn 4. Ledford definetly should have given him room he already had his car above him and had a good run coming off the top. Hopefully Bearden comes back he will for sure get a win this year!

Cash was right on about a great show. Track was great and fast with biggest crowds this year. Jamie was fast qualifier and led early with Shawn Chastain and Johnny Chastain battling for second place. Shawn went out early, then Oliver about the 10th lap. Johnny then led to the checkers with George Mashburn and Randy Nichols left to fight it out for second place. Point leader David Payne was at Boyd’s for the Southern All Stars event and four-time winner Danny Ledford was out due to his motor being in the repair shop.

The Limited class saw 20 true Limiters, Crates ran their own class, take the green flag. Jimmy Ivester had fast time with Charlie Parker on the outside pole. Parker took the lead but dropped out on the first lap. Ivester and Jason Payne swapped leads until Danny Ledford went to the front for his third win in a row. Ivester, Payne, Devin Dilbeck and David McCoy filled the top five.

In the first Crate race of the year, Ty Lowe made his first visit to Tri-County to win in a seven-car field. Greg Sudderth won Modified Hobby, Josh Robert Stock Enduro and Marty Clark won the Pony feature.
