JASON WELSHAN WINS CROSSVILLE #1 LATE MODEL DOUBLE FEATURE SATURDAY

Crossville, TN (7/16/11) --- Despite spending early Saturday being poked and prodded by heart doctors in Chattanooga, Jason Welshan (# 29) from Maryville, Tennessee made the trek to Crossville, Tennessee pay off as the Team Kyle "ALOT LESS Factory Outlet, Jon's Golfcarts, Advantage Check Cashing, Ronald Sexton Construction Co, Smith's Auto Sales and Centerline Construction, B&M Concrete - Miles 411 Family Restaurant, Stealth Carburators - Shorty's Shock Service, Bearden Oil" sponsored WEEKS chassised / 604 GM Performance Crate racer took the checkers in the 1st of 2 Late Model Double Features at the track on the Cumberland Plateau. Welshan whom won Friday nights $800 to-win featuyre at Boyd's Speedway, before finishing in the Top-5 in the nights Southern All-Star Super Late Model feature, left the track and headed for Erlanger Hospital with chest pains around midnight.

"I've been feeling some tightness in my chest and didn't wanna take any chances." stated Welshan while exiting the facility Saturday morning. After being put thru dye and stress tests, the FLYIN WELSHAN was released and told to follow-up with his regular physician. The team decided to make a late jont to Crossville, TN and it paid off, winning the $400 payday. Welshan drew the #5 invert for the 2nd feature, but only could get to 3rd as the checkers flew in the second 15-lapper. Teammate Tim Kyle rounded out the Top 5 in both features for a solid weekend of racing action. Look for Welshan to possibly pull DOUBLE DUTY this coming Thursday night during the Southern Nationals series trek to the Cleveland (TN) Speedway. Welshan is planning a follow-up visit to his doctor early this week. Welshan still leads the Boyd's Speedway Crate LM Points Championship chase and will be in action there next Friday night.
