is there a way to lock up the BSB brake floater?

Why not just buy a $25 clamp bracket? Or are you wanting to switch back and forth?

It looks like the steel on doesn't come with a lock ring like the aluminum ones do, slight oversight on BSB's part . might want to give them a call to see if they make one even though it is not in the catalogue .

wanting to run one on a prostock/superstock type car for when we run open comp type of events we can unlock the floater and then run it as a regular calipar mount the rest of the time. Just trying to see if this is possible or a waste of time and money. thanks for the imput.

You could always weld tabs on the front and back sides of each piece for a 3/8 bolt and lock it up that way. Just remove the bearing before you start welding. I don't think you could develop enough brake force to shear two grade 8 bolts, but i guess there is only one way to find out.
