Race Notes: Ty Dillon went from third-to-first on the opening lap to take the initial race lead. After holding the point for the first fifteen circuits, Ty suffered a flat tire on his #41 machine under caution and was forced to give up the top spot. He returned to the track and eventually salvaged an eighth place effort. Polesitter Jonathan Davenport then took control of the race and kept both Chris Madden and Casey Roberts behind him for the remainder of the distance. Madden (top) and Roberts (bottom) raced side-by-side for upwards of twenty laps battling for the second spot behind Davenport. A big crowd witnessed Davenport’s first victory with the series in 2011 and his fifth career series triumph. Ronnie Johnson was the hard charger of the race, as he picked off nine competitors to finish in the sixth position. The Schaeffer Oil Southern Nationals will resume on Monday, July 18 with the rain-postponed $5,300 to win feature at the North Georgia Speedway in Chatsworth, Georgia.

what happened to michael page? did he have on the 8 inch spoiler last night? The last I heard he was the next great. I seen the next great young drivers last night. 49 22 81 09 21B 101 alot of really good young drivers at Rome last night. I guss he dont have motor to race with them guys . But the old man ran 6th with his spec motor. Big way to go to JD might be a start to a hole bunch of wins.

Page was running 2nd in his consy and broke. Plus he wasnt even running his car. So before you go running your mouth get your story straight.

I didn't see the 99 there neither... the fact he had not turned a lap in that car before the hot lap session and come out 13th fastest is quite impressive... superman put on a great show, madden shouldn't of showed jd the high line was fast when he did.. one more lap I think he woulda got em but jd moved up. Great track for dry slick racing they put on a great show.

you guys get on here and talk crap about other drivers when you have absolutely no clue what the hell you are talking about.. i would just really appreciate u using a little more respect for fellow drivers and fans of drivers that havent said a thing about your driver.......page might be really talented i havent denied or confirmed it either way but leave the other drivers out of it...:D

Y'all get on here and talk about other drivers, but I don't see you out there doing it. You know why, because you can't. So don't knock other drivers especially drivers like Aaron Ridley or Michael Page. If your going to knock someone, knock the ones who don't win and wreck and etc. Michael and Aaron are both really good drivers. Best of luck to both.

All I was sayin is someone had mentioned in a previous post that they saw alot of good young talent at rome sunday night with the 101 49 21b 81 and others....then also sayin they thought 18 couldn't run with them cause lack of motor and said Michael couldn't run with the big dogs....and I went on to say I believe alot of the big dogs was there a few weeks ago when Michael led every lap and the 81 was one of those cars...so does that put micheal in the same category.....I don't think he has near the equipment or the backin these other boys have got either....if he did there might be a different outcome in alot more races......but then somebody wonts to talk trash and call people page nutsuckers.......wow your real cool hahs....my 5 yr old lil nephew could have thought of something a lil better than that......btw aaron Ridley is good and I have nothing against him I was just saying somebody was puttin down micheal yet they was sayin the 81 was good young talent and a big dog well he was there the same night micheal won and he ran 3rd or 4th.....so does that put micheal in the same category now in yalls eyes or what

They try to go on here and claim he's cheatiin with a half inch on the spoiller and juiced tires? I mean they so far down on his **** they can't catch a breath. I'm not a page fan I'm not a ellis fan but I can see thru the crap.

The only reason he "struggled" at Cedar Lake (USA Nationals) is because Shane Clanton spun him out while he was in a qualifying position (2nd, took 3 per heat).
