The FASTRAK SE/ME Touring Series will make its first appearance in over 5 years to the Lawndale NC Cleveland County Speedway Friday July 22nd. The event has been hailed as the NC/VA Dirt Late Model Championship as the series heads to Wythe Raceway the next evening for a $3000 to win event and the grand finale of the championship event. The winner of the event based on points will take home a beautiful cup with the inscription NV/VA Dirt Late Model Championship on it. Something every racer would want to taked home.
"We are excited about this" race stated Tammi Mullis Promotor of Cleveland County Speedway. "Having the FASTRAK tour back at CCS will be great! These guys are no doubt the tougest crate late model drivers in the nation and we look forward to them putting on a great show here".
"I am truly glad we sanctioned with FASTRAK in 2011" said Owner Steve Mason. "Its been good for Cleveland County Speedway. Our car count is up this year in spite of the economy and FASTRAK has delivered on every promise they have made. The only thing we need to do is talk them into having night 1 of the Grand Nationals here. Our facility is large and perfect for that type of event".
This weekends event will no doubt be incredible for both fans and teams. CCS has provided a great racing surface all year long and these teams are expected to use every inch of it. FASTRAK will also provide fireworks plus a drawing for one lucky fan to ride in the pace truck during the 4 wide salute and another for a fan to throw the green flag for the main event. Come see some of the greatest racing in late models today.
The brand new design FASTRAK t shirts will be available this weekend at both CCS and Wythe Raceway. Be sure to get yours quick as they are selling everyday from the office. Based on the "affliction" style the shirt has been a huge hit.
