Billy Moyer Jr. Set For Silver Dollar Nationals
Batesville, Arkansas (07/20/11) – Billy Moyer Jr. is preparing to take his #21jr Henderson Motorsports/Car City/Imperial Motors/Victory Circle M1 Chassis By Moyer/Bullock Racing Engine Super Late Model into battle this coming weekend, July 21st-23rd in the 1st Annual Silver Dollar Nationals at I-80 Speedway (Greenwood, Nebraska).
Last weekend the team entered a pair of events, and on Friday night, July 15th, Jr. Motorsports entered the $2,000 to win, COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) program at Beebe Speedway (Beebe, Arkansas). After winning his heat race Moyer Jr. earned the outside front row starting spot for the main event, alongside pole sitter, Jon Kirby. On a racing surface that lended itself to minimal passing Moyer Jr. would pressure Kirby for the lead for the duration of the feature before settling for a second place finish.
Billy concluded the weekend on Saturday night, July 16th at Northeast Arkansas Speedway (Harrisburg, Arkansas) in another $2,000 to win race that was sanctioned by the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS). Twenty-five Super Late Models entered the race, and after finishing third in his heat, Billy started ninth on the grid for the feature event. He would go on to advance three spots to finish in the sixth position at the checkered flag. Full results from both events are available at www.COMPDirt.com.
The upcoming weekend, July 21st-23rd, will see the team make the trek to I-80 Speedway (Greenwood, Nebraska) for the 1st Annual Silver Dollar Nationals, which boasts a $25,000 to win/$1,000 to start purse. The Lucas Oil MLRA sanctioned event gets underway on Thursday night with an Open Practice.
