If I add a 1" wheel spacer to the lr, how will it affect handling on and off the gas?

Check the Rocket Blue-Gray thread just below yours. They talk about wheel spacers in there.

Ok thanks. So what I am getting from that tread is, putting a lr wheel spacer on tightens the car up getting in the corner. What about when you pick the trottle back up and coming off the corner?

Tighter. Especially if you correct for the wedge lost, which you should.

It should loosen the car on exit. You need to recheck your bite when you put the spacer on. You will need to put some rounds in it.

It will tighten the car in and thru the middle of the corner. It will be a little bit looser on exit.

Assuming you do NOT compensate for the loss in wedge and the lower LR weight, and the lower wheel rate (spring rate "felt" at the wheel), the car will be tighter in (off throttle) and looser off (on throttle).

We use 1 almost every Saturday night in the feature. It will tighten car all the way thru the corner. I dont think it affects exit as much as entry and center, but 9 out of 10 times if you tighten a car on entry and to the center it will feel tighter off.

On my sons car a 2 in spacer on lr takes out 12 to 15 pounds of bite depending on what we do with air pressure granted it is a 3 link clip car with with a stock clip. What we did in order to know what each change does is with car on scales we played with air pressure wheel spacers etc and made notes this really helps at track as you make adjustments as you have an idea of what the changes do you would be amazed at what you can do with air pressure alone.
