JASON WELSHAN WINS CLEVELAND SPEEDWAY's CRATE LM SPECIAL THURSDAY

Cleveland, TN (7/21/11) --- For the first time in almost a year and a half, Jason Welshan (# 29) of Maryville, Tennessee returned to the Cleveland Speedway's KC GRAPHICS Victory Lane winning the special Crate Late Model event that went along with the evenings Ray Cook Southern Nationals race Thursday night. Winning back in March 2010 the Team Kyle "ALOT LESS Factory Outlet, Jon's Golfcarts, Advantage Check Cashing, Ronald Sexton Construction Co, Smith's Auto Sales and Centerline Construction, B&M Concrete - Miles 411 Family Restaurant, Stealth Carburators - Shorty's Shock Service, Bearden Oil" sponsored WEEKS chassised / 604 GM Performance Crate racer has been on a tear of tracks in Tennessee & Georgia, but seldom gets a chance to get to Cleveland's track. "Monty's got a great place here and he's always been real nice to us" stated Welshan after the races. "We got a Top-5 early this season here, but we're tied up in points championships at a couple other tracks." Welshan battled the entire 20-lap feature with pole sitter Brian Kinnersley of Blairesville, GA. The two even tangled on the initial start of the feature as Kinnersley and Welshan came together in turn four. "We're lucky on this one, she just didn't wanna go!!!" stated Welshan about his racecar. "The car kept hesitating and he'd reel me back in. We gotta get back to the shop tomorrow and thrash awhile on this one" Welshan attempted the nights DOUBLE DARE but failed to make the SLM portion of the event. The FLYIN WELSHAN BRIGADE will head back to Boyd's for he $800 to-win feature seeking an unprecedented six in-a-row feature win.
