American Modified Series Returns to Action at Bluegrass Speedway on July 30

Glasgow, KY-July 24, 2011- After a couple of weeks off, the American Modified Series continues its championship march for 2011 this Saturday July 30 at Bluegrass Speedway in Bardstown, KY for the 11th Annual Bluegrass Rumble, paying $1,500 to the winner.

On Saturday July 30 at Bluegrass Speedway in Bardstown, KY, the American Modified Series will present a full program of practice, one lap of A-B group time trials, qualifying heats, B-Mains, and the 30 lap, $1,500 to win 11th Annual Bluegrass Rumble A-Main event. Other divisions in competition at Bluegrass Speedway on July 30 will be the track’s 44 Auto Mart Super Late Models, Clayton Homes of Stanford UMP Sportsman, and UMP Street Stocks.

Activities for the July 30 date at Bluegrass Speedway will see the pit area open at 4:00 p.m., with the general admission area open at 5:00 p.m. The driver’s meeting will be at 6:00 p.m., with practice set for 6:30 p.m., followed by time trials at 7:00 p.m., with green flag racing set to begin at or before 8:00 p.m. Ticket prices for the July 30 Bluegrass Speedway event will see general admission ticket prices be $15, with children ages 6 to 12 being $8, while a pit pass will be $30.

The A-Main purse for the July 30 Bluegrass Speedway 11th Annual Bluegrass Rumble as follows: 1st- $1,500, 2nd- $750, 3rd- $600, 4th- $550, 5th- $500, 6th- $450, 7th- $400, 8th- $350, 9th- $325, 10th- $300, 11th- $275, 12th- $250, 13th- $230, 14th- $220, 15th through 22nd- $200 to start. Michael England of Glasgow, KY is the defending champion of this event.

Bluegrass Speedway is a ˝ mile high-banked clay oval promoted by David and Anita Ferrell. Bluegrass Speedway is located at 2221 New Haven Road on KY Hwy 31E at exit 21 of the Martha Layne Collins (Bluegrass) Parkway. The American Modified Series last competed on July 8 at Bloomington Speedway in Bloomington, IN and Clint Demoss would win the JB Salvage Inc. 30 and on July 9 at Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, IN on July 9 and Ryan Thomas would win the Boknecht Trucking 30. Defending series champion John Demoss of Bloomington, IN has taken over the series points lead, with Joey Kramer of Hanover, IN only 10 points back in second. The remainder of the top five in tour points are Michael England of Glasgow, KY, Bryan Barber of Greensburg, KY, and Elliott Despain of Campbellsville, KY.
