LUCKY 7 SPEEDWWAY’S
“2nd ANNUAL COAL MINERS CLASSIC”
FEATURING THE ADRA LATE MODELS PRESENTED BY SUDDENLINK!

Apple Grove, WV. 28 July 2011~ The American Dirt Racing Association Late Models, presented by Suddenlink Communications will cross into new territory on Saturday August 6th as we blaze into Whitesburg, KY’s Lucky 7 Speedway for what has become Southeastern Kentucky’s most prestigious event, the “2nd Annual Coal Miners Classic” paying $5000 to win! Lucky 7 Speedway is a .35 mile semi D shaped and semi banked dirt track which is 100 feet wide at its narrowest point! No need to explain why Lucky 7 Speedway is billed as the “Home of 3 wide racing”! (www.lucky7speedway.com )

“Due to the economy racing has really had a tough time in Eastern KY lately as several tracks are currently closed,” explained ADRA competition coordinator Rocky Estep. “There is a multitude of fans and drivers in that part of the region hungry for great racing action and Lucky 7 Speedway brings it every Saturday night. We appreciate Josh Baker and his crew for putting on this annual event in honor our coal miners and the fans. Our coal miners are very special to us and we want them to know we appreciate them for all they do. The ADRA Dirt Late Model Championship Series is honored to be invited to the 2011 “Coal Miners Classic” dedicated to all the coal miners in the region.” (www.adraracing.net)

Eddie Carrier Jr. in the #28 Grover Motorsports Rocket currently leads the ADRA points after his impressive last lap pass as “The Showstopper” Tim Dohm in the #6T Rocket went low and Carrier went high in a drag race coming off turn 4 at Southern Ohio Speedway on July 15th. Dohm had made a spectacular charge through the field back to the front in only 12 laps after going to the tail as a result of the no stop rule following an altercation with R.J. Conley’s machine. “Bad Fast” Josh McGuire of Grayson, KY has also committed to be at the “2nd Annual Coal Miner’s Classic” in the #41 Rayburn car.

Lucky 7 Speedway is located at 6290 Hwy 7 North Whitesburg, KY. 41858. Their website is under construction and should be finished any day. This race is an open invitation to all Late Model drivers. The tire rule for this race will be a punch 40 rule meaning any Hoosier 1300 and harder or American Racer 44 or harder is legal so long as it punches 40 or harder with the tire still cold on the hardness tester called a durometer gauge.

The Racers In Christ Ministry will be on hand with the jump house for the kids. Please stop by and pick up a FREE! Bible and pick up an RIC and ADRA T-shirt. (www.racersinchrist.com)
