UBB 29 Memorial Race
$2,900 to win!

The first ever Upper Big Branch Memorial race is set. It has been a long hard road to get this race set up and organized, But with the help of Keith Bowling and Robbie Cyrus this race was made possible. We would also at this time like to thank Greg Darby and Don Bolen of Little General Stores for there more than gracious contribution for this event. We would also like to thank Aftermarket specialties, Daddy Rabbit Graphics, Midway Scrap & Recycling, Window World, Brunty Motorsports, and Friends of Coal for all their help as well. We are still hearing from sponsors at this time wanting to have some part in this event. Sponsors will be added as soon as we get the information from them. PRINCETON SPEEDWAY TO GIVE PORTION OF PROCEEDS FROM UBB MEMORIAL RACE

Speedway to Donate to UBB Miners Memorial

The Princeton Speedway and Little General Stores are partnering to honor the victims of the UBB Mine Disaster. On Saturday, August 6th, the Speedway will host the Upper Big Branch 29 Memorial Race. In addition to the race, a special ceremony is planned to commemorate the events that took place on April 5th, 2010. The Speedway will donate $3 from every ticket sold to the UBB Miners Memorial to be built in Whitesville, WV as well as a portion of the proceeds from t-shirt and raffle ticket sales.

The Princeton Speedway is located in Athens, WV. Grandstand Gates open at 3pm and Pit Gates at 1pm, racing will start at 7pm. The race will feature crate late models. Admission is $15 for adults, $5 for kids ages 6-10 and free to children under 5 years old. Family members of the 31 miners affected by the UBB disaster are asked to email Robbie Cyrus at ubbrace@gmail.com to receive a special invitation to the race and ceremony.

We will have Fastrak Tech Director Brad Hibbard from the Northeast Division of the Fastrak Racing Series present and teching cars for the UBB Memorial Race on August 6th 2011. We would like to thank Fastrak Racing Series for making this possible.

This just keeps getting better! All classes, We will be paying $100.00 in each class for the Fastest Qualifier. Princeton Speedway is a Hoosier's Only tire track.

Please call Sleep Inn in Princeton, WV @ 304-431-2800 and Ask for the Managers Special for a special rate The night of the race. Let them know you are here for the UBB 29 Race at Princeton Speedway. Please call in advance. Rooms are not guaranteed avaliable the day of the show.

we were just told that there will be $100.00 out up for the fastest qualifiers in all classes

we are still racing if i,m mean if we get rained out will be racing this race sunday aug 7th hope too see eveybody there robbie cyrus
