lost lr ride ht

Got a 4link lr spring behind, z bar rr spring ahead.Does not matter what springs we run because no matter what we lose an inch or more lr ride ht while car is on track . Spring is compressing more by every lap,gone as high as 300 lb spring but still will lose an inch of spring ht.Car ends up laying down on lf side, losing all hike up and all side bite. Only running 40 lbs bite to start but ends up a ton more after races. ruled out binds anywhere as everything seems free as it should be and other 3 corners of car ride ht stay as set .Have worked on alot of types of racecars before and thought i have seen it all till now ! Help us before we cut this thing up for scrap !

no mention of shock on LR.

Surely you have tried a couple.....

And you probably have checked to make sure the Eliminator or coilover nut is not moving or backing off during the hike up early in the race...... lots of times , if your coming off the spring on the LR.. there is nothing to keep the nut from backing off if you don't have it taped or pinned....

Is your rear end moving to the right somehow, like maybe jbar is sliding down?

Tried a new eliminator so that was not it besides spring would get longer when losing ride ht, ours gets shorter so its gaining wt and not holding the corner up.We run shock ahead on left rear and tried different rates so that did not help. J bar bolts on so no slider there,rear at least is where we set it. The guy that does all the winning here said to index birdcage ahead on top thinking that would help but didnt. thanks for the help, keep it coming!

left rear get a inch lower and you gain bite only way I can see that happen is left front weightjack backing out

I agree... Losing Ride Height and gaining bite on the same side doesn't make any sense..

Are you scaling with the shocks unhooked? Gas shocks, especially with the LR pressures we run these days, can effect your scale process in a big way. If your scaling with a high pressure gas shock on the LR and not unhooking it, ( All for that matter ) it will effect your ride height and scale %

Also scale with your LR axle out. Or after the car is on the scales and an adjustment is made you can jack up the LR tire off the scale pad (with jack under birdcage, not frame) and it will rotate 1/4 turn or more. If you don't, it is held up on the bars which will add height and 20 to 30 lbs of bite. This could be giving you a false ride height that goes away after the car rolls.

have u established if the spring is losing height. measure it before installed and run it a week and see if it loses height. also rate the spring to see if it loses rate all the stuff above is good advice but useless if you dont establish this

You might take a look at your left rear geometry. We messed around last year and had similar problems, turned out we were indexing the birdcage too quickly and at full droop our shock mounts were 3/8 closer together than they were at ride height. Makes the LR do some strange things when that happens.
