R.J. Conley becomes 5th different STARS MDRL winner taking $3,000 in thriller at PRP
PORTSMOUTH, OH (July 30, 2011)—R.J. Conley of Wheelersburg, OH led all 40 laps of the STARS Midwest Dirt Racing League by Arizona Sports Shirts main event to become the fifth different winner in five events on the tour on Saturday Night at Portsmouth Raceway Park.
Conley may have led all 40 laps but was challenged several times for the win and the racing for second spot on back was and exciting show in its own right.
The next STARS Midwest Dirt Racing League events will see a double-header of action on the schedule as the STARS MDRL travelers head to Southern Ohio Speedway in Wheelersburg, OH on Friday Night August 5th for the 50-lap $5,000 to win 7th annual Iron-Man Classic event. Then on Saturday Night August 6th the STARS MDRL makes their lone season visit to the Bluegrass Speedway in Bardstown, KY for the 13th annual Bluegrass 50 paying $5,000 to win.
