Richmond Off AMS Schedule; Bluegrass Speedway Rainout Reset for September 17
Glasgow, KY-August 3, 2011- Officials with the American Modified Series would like to take this opportunity to make an announcement concerning a couple of schedule adjustments for the remainder of the 2011 series campaign.
The American Modified Series event that was scheduled for August 20 at Richmond Raceway in Richmond, KY has been removed from the 2011 race schedule after being rescheduled once from its original date of June 18. The American Modified Series wishes Richmond Raceway the best of luck for the remainder of the 2011 season and hopes to possibly sanction an event there ins 2012.
The event that was rained out at Bluegrass Speedway in Bardstown, KY on Saturday July 30 has been rescheduled and will now see the 11th Annual Bluegrass Rumble take place on Saturday September 17, with $1,500 up grabs to the event winner. This event will also serve as the 2011 series final event at this point in the year.
The American Modified Series would also like to extend its sincerest sympathies to racers John Demoss and Clint Demoss of Bloomington, IN on the recent loss of their grandmother on Saturday July 30. John Demoss is the defending series champion and Clint Demoss was a winner with the AMS tour earlier this season at Bloomington, IN.
The next scheduled event for the open-wheel warriors of the American Modified Series will be on Saturday August 13 at the Lawrenceburg Speedway in Lawrenceburg, IN. The event will be the Monster Mod 40 and pay $1,500 to the winner of the event.
The American Modified Series will present UMP Modified sanctioned dirt track sports entertainment at racing venues throughout Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, and Tennessee.
