Jackie Boggs claims second career Iron-Man Classic with STARS MDRL win at Southern OH
WHEELERSBURG, OH (August 5, 2011)—Jackie Boggs now joins Chris Combs on the list of two-time winners of the Iron-Man Classic, claiming the 7th annual version on Friday Night August 5th at the Southern Ohio Speedway in Wheelersburg, Ohio.
It was the series’ first-ever visit to the 4/10th’s mile oval and the Grayson, KY native Boggs overtook leader Tim Dohm on the 26th lap and led the remaining distance of the 50-lapper to claim the $5,000 first place prize.
A total of six yellow flags slowed the event. The series will be back in action on Saturday August 6th at Bluegrass Motor Speedway for the 13th annual Bluegrass 50, $5,000 to win at the Bardstown, KY ˝ mile oval.
**Note** Series Regulars Michael Chilton and Terry Tomlison were not in attendance tonight due to engine failure last weekend at Portsmouth, Ohio.
