Lawrenceburg Speedway Monster Mod 40 Next for American Modified Series August 13
Glasgow, KY-August 7, 2011- The American Modified Series continues its championship march for 2011 this Saturday August 13 at Lawrenceburg Speedway in Lawrenceburg, IN for the track’s annual Monster Mod 40 event that will be paying $1,500 to the winner.
On Saturday August 13 at Lawrenceburg Speedway in Lawrenceburg, IN, the American Modified Series will present a full program of practice, A-B group time trials, qualifying heats, B-Mains, and the 40 lap, $1,500 to win Monster Mod 40 A-Main event. Other divisions in competition at Lawrenceburg Speedway on August 13 will be the track’s Lawrenceburg Chevrolet Sprint Cars and Impact Sports Pure Stocks.
Activities for the August 13 date at Lawrenceburg Speedway will see the pit area open at 4:00 p.m., with the general admission area open at 5:00 p.m. The driver’s meeting will be at 5:45 p.m., with practice set for 6:00 p.m., followed by time trials at 6:30 p.m., with green flag racing set to begin at 7:00 p.m. Ticket prices for the August 13 Lawrenceburg Speedway event will see general admission ticket prices be $15, while a pit pass will be $30.
The A-Main purse for the August 13 Lawrenceburg Speedway Monster Mod 40 is as follows: 1st- $1,500, 2nd- $750, 3rd- $600, 4th- $550, 5th- $500, 6th- $450, 7th- $400, 8th- $350, 9th- $325, 10th- $300, 11th- $275, 12th- $250, 13th- $230, 14th- $220, 15th through 22nd- $200 to start.
Lawrenceburg Speedway is a 3/8 mile high-banked clay oval promoted by Dave Rudisell. Lawrenceburg Speedway is located at 351 East Eads Street at the Dearborn County Fairgrounds. From I-275 take the exit 16 and turn left onto US 50 and proceed one mile and the track is on the right in back of Fairgrounds, located across from Hollywood Casino. The American Modified Series last competed on July 30 at Bluegrass Speedway in Bardstown, KY, but the event was rained out during qualifying heats, thus forcing the event to be rescheduled for September 17. Joey Kramer of Hanover, IN sits atop the series point fray, with Michael England of Glasgow, KY only 15 points back in second. Defending series champion John Demoss of Bloomington, IN and Bryan Barber of Greensburg, KY are tied for the third position in points, while the final driver in the top five in series markers is Elliott Despain of Campbellsville, KY.
