Klint Byars Rolls to MSCCS Win at Hattiesburg

Carrollton, Mississippi (08/10/11) –Klint Byars raced his #5 Southern Belle/K&K Motorsports/Victory Circle M1 Chassis By Moyer/Jay (not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)ens Racing Engine Super Late Model to the feature win on Friday night at Hattiesburg Motorsports Park.

Friday night found Klint at Hattiesburg Motorsports Park (Hattiesburg, Mississippi) in a $2,000-to-win, Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS) Super Late Model event. Nineteen cars entered the event, and after setting fast time in his group and fast time overall he earned the pole position for the 40 lap feature with David Breazeale starting to his outside. The duo would battle for the top spot for the duration of the event before Klint raced his way to the win, which came over Breazeale, Cliff Williams, Jeremy Broadus, and Steve Bryan. On Saturday evening the action shifted to Jackson Motor Speedway (Byram, Mississippi) for a $2,500-to-win, 50 lap program. Thirty-one Super Late Models were on hand for the event, and for the second straight night he would set fast time in his group and fast time overall to earn the pole for the dash. The dash would see Byars slip to a fourth place finish, which left him starting fourthin the 50 lap feature on the 1/4 mile, gumbo oval.

Byars would hold down a top ten spot for the duration of the feature before crossing the finish line in the sixth position behind race winner, Jimmy Cliburn, David Breazeale, Brooks Strength, Chris Wall, and Cliff Williams.
