The World of Outlaws Late Model Series to make their debut at Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex on Sunday, September 4
The Work Force 50 will pay $10,000-to-win

August 11, 2011 (Markleysburg, PA) With the sudden and unfortunate closing of Tri-City Speedway last month, the World of Outlaws Late Model Series was left with a void on their schedule for Labor Day Weekend. To fill that gap, Race Won Promotions has leased the Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex to host the $10,000-to-win Work Force 50 featuring the World of Outlaws Late Model Series. Roaring Knob’s weekly FASTRAK Late Model division will also be on the card for a $1,000-to-win special event.

Race Won Promoter Gary Risch Jr. is excited about the event, stating, “We’re looking forward to bringing the World of Outlaws Late Model Series to Roaring Knob Labor Day Weekend. Roaring Knob has become another local hotbed for Late Model racing and we think this show will be a great way to start to wrap up the 2011 season!”

Roaring Knob has hosted numerous regional and national Late Model touring series events over the past few seasons, including events sanctioned by the Lucas Oil, Three State Flyers and UFo Late Model Series. The unique layout of the dirt track provides for excellent side-by-side racing and some of the biggest names on the national Late Model scene have recently won races at the Markleysburg oval. Scott Bloomquist won the Lucas Oil Late Model Series event on April 30, Josh Richards won the Appalachian Mountain Speedweek feature on June 6 and Devin Friese won the UFo Race on July 9.

The Three State Flyers will land at Roaring Knob this Saturday, August 13 for a $4,000-to-win event. The $5,000-to-win App. Mt. Speedweek show brought in some big names, including a handful of World of Outlaws regulars including Josh Richards, Vic Coffey, Rick Eckert, Tim McCreadie and Jimmy Mars. Jason Covert leads the Three State Flyers point standings, while Scott Rhoades leads the Roaring Knob Super Late Model points.

Tickets for the Work Force 50 featuring the World of Outlaws Late Model Series are $30 for general admission and kids 10 & under are admitted free of charge with a paying adult. Gates open at 5:00 with Time Trials scheduled for 7:00, followed by racing at 7:30. For more details log on to www.WorldofOutlaws.com/LateModel or www.RoaringKnob.com.
